Hey everyone,

If you’re looking to learn a new sport or to continue your love for badminton, you’ve come to the right place! We have two teams within the club, the Competitive Team (A-Team) and Recreational Team (B-Team). Membership is $50/semester and covers shuttles, coaching, travel, and more! See below for information on joining one of the teams.

Competitive/A-Team
To join the A-Team, you must first attend a designated tryout session. Your performance and our roster size will determine whether or not we can grant you a spot in our A-Team roster. If you do not make the A-Team through tryouts, you are still eligible for the B-Team (if you’re an undergraduate). If you’re a non-undergraduate student who didn’t make tryouts, you are eligible for our Pay-n-Play program.

Tryout times:
Tuesday, January 18 from 4:00-5:30pm for ALL UNDERGRADUATE WOMEN
Tuesday, January 18 from 5:30-7:00pm for ALL NON-UNDERGRADS (men and women)
Thursday, January 20 from 6:00-8:00pm for ALL UNDERGRADUATE MEN
Location: Hutchinson Gym

Recreational/B-Team
Currently, we are only able to accept undergraduate students into our B-Team. If you satisfy this criteria, you do not need to tryout to join. All you need to do is send an email to David (managerpennbadminton.com) with your Legal Name (and Preferred Name if applicable), Email, PennID, Gender, School, and Graduation Date. Of course, you are welcome to attend A-Team tryouts if you so desire.

For non-undergraduate students looking to play recreationally, you are eligible for our Pay-n-Play program. To find out more, click here.

We will have a table/booth in from 11am-3pm on Sunday, January 16 in Houston Hall for the Spring Activities Fair. Please come by to meet the board and learn more about our club!

Hey everyone,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving break! Unfortunately, this means that our semester is coming to a close. I wanted to let you know that our last practice for this semester will be on December 10 (which is also the last day of class). This applies for both A-Team and B-Team practices.

Additionally, we will be having a match (A-Team) against NYU on December 12, from 12-3pm in Hutchinson Gym. Please email David (manager@pennbadminton.com) to let him know whether you can or cannot make it.

In case you are wondering about next semester, we will be having tryouts in early January 2011 for the A-Team. Current B-Team players can continue to play for another semester without trying out.
