Success at the 2010 National Capital Open

At this year’s annual National Capital Open at the University of Maryland, the Penn Badminton Club sent eight of its members to compete in the grueling three-day badminton tournament. By the end of the tournament, Penn’s shuttlers had accumulated six individual trophies – the most of any college club present at the tournament. Many of them played in a higher division than they were accustomed to playing in and successfully rose to the challenge.
Here are the highlights of the tournament:
Jason Tabalujan & Sandra Jacob – Mixed Doubles D Winners
Swee (Felix) Lim – Men’s Singles D Winner
Sandra Jacob & Devi Kasih – Women’s Doubles C Finalists
Daphne Ng (Penn) & Devin Dobrowolski (Drexel) – Mixed Doubles D Finalists

Hello everyone, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for: a new semester of badminton!
We will be having tryouts on the following dates:
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 5-8pm [Undergraduate Men Only]
Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 6-10pm [Everyone] Please arrive at 6pm sharp.
